New beta of Remote Media Center

Postby piet5211 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 1:38 pm

Who would like to take part in a new beta of Remote Media Center. Please drop me a PM with your email address.

New features include:
- Live TV; Well sort of: it is simulated by resuming a recorded tv show when end reached (using internal Vitamio player);
- Use one higher and custom qualities (seems to work with internal Vitamio player, rockplayer lite, Ice Cream Sandwich player);
- Optionally videos in viewlist without folders, with sorting on title/folder;
- Optionally group recorded tv by title;
- Resuming videos/recorded tv from last known position when using Vitamio player.
It is great when you use Remote Media Center for android, see frequently asked questions, any donations would be appreciated.

Click on the PM button on the right side of Piets post above.
Then send piet your email address and he can send you the apk file.

I would like to help test this beta!

I just upgraded to a Sprint Evo 4G LTE and I am having trouble getting RP(1.0.6)/RMC(0.613) to work with any of the 3rd party video players (Mobo, Vplayer, Daroon, MX, etc.), RP is acting like it is not even bothering to transcode the files when I try to stream to this device!?!

Anyway, I love the sound of having a built in player to go with RMC!

I would love to participate. I currently have a Thunderbolt and cannot use RMC anymore after the latest Verizon update. :(

I noticed your post.. and it sounds like the latest beta will fix my issue. Yay!

Starting with RMC beta 633 (menu button/Settings) you should be able to overrule default behavior of Android video selection, e.g. MX player is always used.

I'd PM you, but I can't PM yet on this forum.. :(

Thanks in advance!
