Apple TV web browser support

Postby ladintheuk » Wed Apr 11, 2012 3:46 am

Hello,
I have just bought your app and think you have done a great job! I am trying to do something a little different and was hoping to get some help.
Here is my current setup:
- MCE PC under the stairs serves out media to the rest of the house
- The rest of the house has AppleTV's that are jailbroken with Firecore's software.
- Part of the Firecore software includes a web browser (rather limited browser though)
- When I access Remote Potato via the website, the website continuously moves to the right and for some reason, not all of the show URL's work (some do, some don't)
This is what I am trying to achieve:
- Have one central MCE PC running 24/7 while using the AppleTV's as low cost streaming devices in the various rooms around the house.
- A happy wife who doesn't like always having to look at a tiny iPhone to browse the EPG guide.
Are there any settings I can change within Remote Potato to stop the moving website and fix the URL issue?
Many thanks,
Scott

I take it that you use the html version and not the silverlight version?
There is a possibility to set remotepotato to default to the html version.

I do think that this might be a browser problem and not a server issue.
Maybe someone can make an addon for xbmc( on appletv)

Thanks for the reply.
I have unchecked the "Use Silverlight" box on the general page, is there any other settings I need to change?
Fully aware this is not a fault and is the browser, but I just thought I would put it out there to see if anyone has tried this with more success.
Oh and I use the Plex addon so if it could work with that...happy days!
