Streaming SilverLigth fail.......

Postby Olli80 » Tue Feb 14, 2012 2:03 pm

Hi,

trying to stream a video with Silverligth fails.
It start streaming until 4 seconds. Then the stream just freeze without any error message.

Streaming with WMP works totaly fine.

Where is my problem?

I´m running potato server v1.0. Have i to open any addiationally ports for the silverlight?

I too have this problem. When I first set up RP a month ago, everything worked fine. I'm assuming there was a SilverLight update which probably broke the playback, though I can't really confirm that yet.

Hi.
Did you open ports 9080-9083?
All ports are needed for streaming.

Of course, they are open. I´m not totaly sure but also thinking Silverlight was running on intital setup.

I dont think its a setup failure. Using RPT over 1 year right now.

How about Carlos? Is he gone? Will this project die?

Carlos is not gone, but he has been busy with other projects lately.
He still drops by once in a while, so I don't think the project will die, but new features will probably have to wait a while.
I will however let him know about this problem, and hopefully he will be able to look at it.

Could you do me a favor and upload some log-files taken after you see these issues?

Has Carlos had a chance to look into this problem? Was thinking about buying the Ipad app, but won't waste my money if it isn't supported anymore.

I'm having this problem as well. Exactly 4 seconds in with every file. I am a new RP user, so I can't say that I've used it a year like the others. However, I can confirm that there some kind of problem here.

Maybe we have an incompatible version of SilverLight or something?
